"3D crystal Structure Catalogue" is a new crystal structure database. 277 inorganic substances are classified in 66 crystal types. You can freely rotate and expand the 3D VRML crystal structures. You will appreciate how rationally particles are packed in the crystal. The data is offered in HTML format enabling you to view from your web browser. You can use this software along with other internet resources. The crystal structure can be searched in various ways; from crystal structure thumbnails, from Periodic Table, or from the name of the substance. Not only the unit cell (minimum repeating unit) of the crystal structure, you can also see the view when the cells are stack together. This way, you will readily understand the way how the particles are actually packed in the crystal. Photographs of the crystals are provided with their properties e.g. formula weight, melting point, boiling point, color, solubility.
